Be sure to take Perdeberg wine to your next dinner party!
Perdeberg is impressing judges all over the world and has just notched another impressive line up at the 2009 Decanter World Wine Awards.
Perdeberg scored favourably across all categories, especially with its new premium REX Equus (King of Horses) wines, earning 9 medals in total but that’s not all – Perdeberg has also received the Trophy for best South African Red Rhone Varietal over £10.00.
In its sixth year running, the Decanter Wine Awards has positioned itself as one of the most coveted wine competitions in the world. The 2009 Decanter Wine Awards received more entries than any other competition this year!
Decanter Magazine, host of the reputable Decanter World Wine Awards, is sold in 92 countries and is read by wine lovers the world over, thus if a wine is acknowledged at the Awards, they receive well deserved international recognition. Decanter is the number one selling wine magazine in the United Kingdom and is the most respected media brand in the world for wines.
Fancy that. To think Perdeberg strolled away with an award for every wine it entered, not too bad for the one with the zebra! With nine Decanter Awards and 1 trophy in total, Perdeberg has to be doing something right - and that is keeping wine simple. Perdeberg Winery’s Winemaker, Riaan Möller is thrilled, “Every wine we entered has won an award! This is a sign that things are just getting better here at Perdeberg and we are ready to improve even more!”
The coveted Trophy for Best South African Red Rhone Varietal was awarded to the Perdeberg REX Equus Shiraz 2007, which also took home a Gold medal. The Perdeberg REX Equus Sauvignon Blanc 2007 and Perdeberg Reserve Chenin Blanc
2007 both received a Silver medal, while Bronze medals were awarded for the Perdeberg Reserve Pinotage 2005, Perdeberg Reserve Shiraz 2007, Perdeberg REX Equus Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 and Perdeberg REX Equus Chenin Blanc 2008.
Commended Medals were awarded for the Perdeberg Reserve Classic Red 2005 and Perdeberg Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2008.
If the world's top international wine judges are impressed with Perdeberg's wine, so too should your friends and colleagues be. Besides, the numerous awards that Perdeberg Wine received will be something to talk about at the dinner table while savouring the country's finest.
